Investment Funds

MCLLP’s Investment Funds practice represents private equity sponsors and other private investment firms throughout the lifecycle of their firms and the funds that they manage.

The Firm has extensive experience representing clients on the structuring and formation of private investment funds and other investment arrangements across a variety of alternative investment strategies, including private and growth equity, credit and real assets. We advise funds on their ongoing operations and portfolio management, as well as fund restructurings, secondaries and liquidity solutions.

In addition, we advise clients on the establishment of new investment firms and the launch of new investment business lines, including seed and stake transactions, and the structuring of internal governance and compensation arrangements.

The Firm’s Investment Funds lawyers also work in tandem with its private equity, M&A, finance and tax lawyers to advise private investment firms on their portfolio transactions and on fund- and GP-level financing arrangements. We offer a coordinated approach to help our clients implement tailored and practical strategies as they raise funds, deploy capital into investments and add value to their portfolio on the pathway to exit.

MCLLP’s Investment Funds lawyers also represent select institutional investors, including family offices, in their alternative investments.
