EXPERIENCE

Mr. Hill is a Partner of MCLLP.  Prior to joining MCLLP, Mr. Hill practiced with the M&A and Intellectual Property groups of Vinson & Elkins LLP in Houston, Texas, where he advised clients on technology, software and other intellectual property transactions and data privacy matters.  

Mr. Hill regularly advises private equity and other investors, along with operating companies, on a diverse variety of transactions, including in the context of M&A, growth equity and venture capital deals.  That experience includes drafting and negotiating a variety of technology agreements and other documentation, including those related to software and other licenses, distribution and reseller arrangements, data processing and sharing agreements and joint research and development.  While industry agnostic, his industry experience includes digital media, enterprise and consumer software, sports, retail, blockchain and cryptocurrency and energy.

Mr. Hill’s representative prior private equity clients include Apollo Global Management, Clearlake Capital, and TPG Sixth Street Partners.

EDUCATION

Mr. Hill earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Biomedical Engineering, magna cum laude, from Vanderbilt University.  Mr. Hill then earned his Juris Doctor degree with honors from the University of Texas School of Law, where he was a member of the Texas Law Review.  

Mr. Hill is licensed to practice in the State of Texas and the State of New York.
